Clean and comfortable rooms, with a large and newly renovated bathroom. The location is central, making it convenient for sightseeing. The hotel offers a good breakfast buffet and the staff is helpful. The hotel also has secure storage facilities. I would recommend this hotel for its excellent service and reasonable price.

The charm and history of this hotel instantly captivated us. The beautifully maintained rooms and the stunning circular staircase added to the allure. We were also pleasantly surprised by the live music and delicious buffet breakfast that transformed the space into a notable bar and cafe. The attentive staff made our stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience.

Reception staff made us very welcome and complied immediately with a request for a room overlooking the main avenue even though we arrived 4 hrs before check-in time Adequate bathroom and good bed - all linens changed daily with good breakfast each morning. Free daily access to the excellent spa was a big bonus. The rooms are not large but at this price, especially considering location with buses and underground station at the front door, they are a bargain.
After a 13 hr. flight from Europe, initial feelings may be a bit jaded, but to me, reception was bright and shiny and first feelings were good, but my wife thought that the seating in reception was tired looking with well-worn upholstery - I think it looked a bit better in the morning! The room was smaller than expected and the decoration decidedly dull. The walls and paintwork were in good condition but drab, possibly to be in keeping with the hotel's historical connection. The airconditioning did little to keep the room cool in the heat of February in BA. But the room was not actually unpleasant, just a bit of an initial disappointment. Whole hotel though, is excellent value for money

We were very disappointed with Buenos Aires as a city. It was filthy dirty and there were no shops open on sundays or public holidays. The beautiful old buildings were in a very bad state and the whole city needs to be cleaned up.
The staff behind the desk were ok - not very helpful at all.

Excellent location with subway stop. Free included breakfast. Free use of large spa. Great value. Free fast Wi-Fi. Old-time rooms well maintained. Stylish entrance hall. Plentiful buffet breakfast. Impeccable location. Super helpful staff. Abundant breakfast options.
Nothing bad to say.

Hotel was in a very good location and the front desk / concierge extremely efficient and accomodating. Breakfasts were also good.
We had two stays at the hotel in the period of two weeks and the room we acquired on the second visit was superior to the one we originally received. Room allocation can be hit and miss but even the inferior room was clean and adequate

The facade of the hotel is very impressive. The tradition can be realized when you look at the doors and the ceiling of the hotel. The rooms are OK and you can feel an "old and romantic" environment. The elevator needs refurbishment. Breakfast is very good and includes beautiful and juicy fruits (some of them seems to be polished). The neighbor is good, also. Definitely a good place to stay.

The room we stayed in, though small, was very clean and comfortable. The heating worked well, keeping us warm and cozy during our stay. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive, making sure all our needs were taken care of. One member of the front desk team stood out with their exceptional service.
We were a bit worried before our stay at this place, as we had read some negative comments. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and found that this hotel exceeded our expectations.

We liked the location, the helpful staff at the reception desk who were always willing to suggest ideas.
We were surprised to find out on our first stay (we stayed 3 times in 3 weeks) that a small room qualified as no windows at all. This made us a little claustrophobic and we were able to upgrade the next day

It was clean, good Internet, good breakfast.
I spoke in Spanish as much as possible, but my Spanish is weak. I felt some disdain for having to speak English with me by some employees. The bell man took advantage of my poor Spanish to call for some kind of taxi when there were many he could have stopped on the street - I was in a hurry to get to the airport. I believe I received a room upgrade. So some staff were good and others were not.

The hotel is a true architectural gem, with a lovely old-world charm that you don't see often in hotels these days. the breakfast buffet was varied and delicious, offering a great start to our days exploring the city. the hotel's location was ideal, situated near major transportation routes and within walking distance of all the main attractions in the area.

Lovely hotel. Really enjoyed the decor and the feel of the hotel. We are actually coming back, we enjoyed it so much. Need to think through the organisation of self service at breakfast. You need more than 1 service point or at least a different one for coffee refills etc.I enjoy hotels which have a hint of grandeur and history.
Some desk staff are great and welcoming. Others might like to improve on their attitude to guests.
